THE CHARM OF SUBTRACTION CUTTING

'Subtraction Cutting' is a method of hollow construction developed by designer Julian Roberts. This method can be used variously to make fashion garments, accessories or even interior products.

what we do first is to sew two fabric together and place two basic bodice every where and connect the side seam in every way you like. One important thing is that we should put them not too far and should be shoulder by shoulder.

After cut it out the piece looks like this and this is our pattern. After sewing the side seam, the garment looks like this.

Because of the fabric is very soft so it actually creates a very interesting effect. Because of the fabric is very soft so it actually creates a very interesting effect. Then I cut tow small hole on shoulder and skirt and sew them inside. The result really surprised me. It create a very interesting shape.
