inner corset actual garment

For the inner layer, I’m cutting two layers to clean finish the garment. I’m using the same color but a lighter weight denim as the base layer so that it won’t see through. I’m also adding the same elastic to finish the hem so that it matches with the other look better.

The actual result came out nice. The folds are bar tack with denim layer so that it stays nicely.

However, the inner layer is too soft so that the pointing triangle cannot stay still.

For the jacket when I pin my embroidery on the jacket back is too small for the pattern piece so I add two side panels.

When I’m cutting the pleated panel for skirt I realized that the width of the fabric is not enough so that I rotate the pattern a bit to make it fit. When reconnecting the lines, we have to make sure that

it has be 90 degree or else it will gives a pointing point.

Instead of sewing the metal zipper directly on the garment I’m attaching a facing piece which is bigger that the zipper first and using normal stitch to do a rectangle shape. After that slash open so the box was

clean finished itself first before we attach the metal zipper.

The look nice came out very nice. The embroidery is delicate but the color and pattern still blend in with the whole collection. The top stitching has improved a lot compare to the previous looks. The length of the jacket is flattering as well as the length of the skirt. The new design of the skirt looks much better than the original design. I’m so glad I redo the skirt design. However, there is still some issue. First of all, the shape of the inner corset is not stay like my original design.

It required a more structure fabric or interfacing. Another issue is that the skirt’s zipper is too short for mannequin but still can be fit by people. The reason is that I’m using the same zipper as the dropped waist skirt. However, this one is a normal waist skirt.
